What is a Credit Union

Unlike banks, credit unions are mutual organisations. This means that our members are both customers and shareholders. All profit is returned to our members through lower fees and charges, competitive interest rates and a wide range of additional services.

Our Operating Structure

The Credit Union is governed by a member-elected board of seven directors. The Constitution of the Credit Union provides for a maximum number of 10 directors and a minimum of 5. The Credit Union is managed via a Chief Executive overseeing three executive streams: Corporate Services; Credit, Business Development & Retail Services; Compliance &  IT.
